NEW RESEARCH SUGGESTS that giving your self a massage, especially after a tough workout will help to aid muscle recovery.

If you regularly ‘beast’ yourself and pay the price with tight and sore muscles (delayed onset muscle soreness, or the DOMS) in the days following, it seems that you don’t need to resort to booking yourself for expensive therapy to relieve the discomfort.

A new study by scientists at Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering and John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) shows even mice benefit from some tender loving care to their little legs.
